MORE INSIGHT ABOUT THE SPORT OF BEACH TENNIS:

This sport has been in the USA for 5 years and they even have a pro tour seen on the Tennis Channel. Beach Tennis is pure fun, action, and a very addictive game to play. It’s 4 times easier to learn than tennis or volleyball. BT is a very social activity and encourages positive interaction and enjoyment for everyone. It is an all-inclusive sport ages 8 to 80 can play regardless of skill level! New players DO NOT have to know how to play the game of tennis – although it is an advantage. Players only have to love the beach and the recreation beach tennis offers.

The Beach Court, Dimensions and Rules are as follows: The game is played in the same dimensions as beach volleyball (30’ x 60’). The net is slightly lower than volleyball net (5’ 10”). Standard tennis rackets and depressurized tennis balls are used. Scoring: 8-game pro set / no ad scoring (meaning at 40- all sudden death). There is one serve only and the ball must land within the boundary line. Let serves are take-overs. The ball is not allowed to bounce. Hope to see you on the sand soon!
